F1 French Grand Prix 2022 Full Race

Friday’s practice before the French Grand Prix gave us a glimpse into what we can expect at the Paul Ricard Circuit over the weekend.

Ferrari is strong, but Carlos Sainz looks poised to start at the back of the grid. The Spanish driver hinted that further penalties would be imposed on the power unit.

Red Bull and Max Verstappen are natural additions to the mix, but the Dutch driver wasn’t too happy with the team’s ‘experimentation’ suggesting that it hadn’t found the right setup.

Mercedes has pace to discover, as both its pole challenge and the race win did not show any signs of bearing fruit.

With all this in mind, here are all the details that you need to keep up with the French Grand Prix weekend.

Have you ever heard the expression “Go big or go home?” We’re going big this weekend because we suspect that Mercedes will still be able to use the Paul Ricard Circuit despite Friday’s showing.

The British and Austrian Grands Prix weekend showed that the team is starting to get its act together. At this venue, however, the car should still be a great performer.

Storylines from the MotoGP Catalunya Grand Prix

Espargaro will have an opportunity to pass Quartararo in this Grand Prix of Catalonia, since he will start from the pole position. Bagnaia will finish second, and if it weren’t for the tragic injury to his motorbike at the French Grand Prix, when he was the leading until almost the end, he would undoubtedly be higher in the rankings (he is fourth, 41 behind the first). The season’s leading player will start third.

The fact that three of the top four riders in the standings start in the best positions on the grid nearly guarantees a thrilling race. Espargaro might surpass Quartararo if he wins, and much more so if Bagnaia can stave off the Frenchman’s advances. However, the Spaniard will have to contend with Pecco, who will be attempting to win his third race of the season.
