After a long break, the much-anticipated Asia Cup has arrived. Team India will finally be back in action, after more than a week of international cricket. The opening match of the Asia Cup will take place between Afghanistan and Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The next day, on September 10, India will face the UAE in Dubai.
India and Pakistan will face each other on Sunday, September 14, and if the two arch-rivals make it through to the Super Four Round (which they are expected too), they’ll also meet on September 21, assuming they reach that stage. Oman and UAE are the teams they share a group with. The T20 format has seen many upsets in the past, so anything is possible on match day.
In the other group, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have been placed with Hong Kong and Afghanistan. The Super Four round is a tough one to predict and the matches in this group will be close.
