After Moraes passed the hydration test, Moraes was able to successfully gain weight for his rematch against Johnson.

Moraes failed to pass his first hydration test during Thursday’s official weigh ins. He was not allowed to scale but it was announced that he would be taking a second test on the morning of the event. His first hydration test resulted in a urine specific gravity of 1.0288. This is above the permitted limit of 1.0250. However, his second test was at 1.0057. That’s well below the limit. Officially, he weighed 134.5 pounds.

Johnson passed his hydration exam and was able to successfully make weight on Thursday. He weighed in at 134.75lbs. Both fighters are now weighing in for the rematch of their April 2021 fight for the flyweight title. Moraes won it by second-round knockout.

Above, you can see video of the ceremonial faceoffs and weigh-ins.

After Rodtang Jitmuangnon had to withdraw from the semifinal muay Thai flyweight grand Prix semifinal bout against Savvas Michal, a significant change was made to this card. Panpayak Jitmuangnon will now fight Michael, after initially being scheduled to face Sherzod Kastov in an alternate grand prix bout. Kabutov didn’t provide a sample from his hydration test on Thursday. However, it is unknown if this was why Panpayak was removed from the bout to replace Rodtang. Kabutov is not on the card.

Thursday’s weigh ins revealed that several fighters had issues with their hydration tests and making weight. While some of them were able to resolve the issues before Friday’s deadline (though not all), two were penalized. They will be fighting as catchweights.

Itsuki Hirata was 115 pounds and weighed in at 119.25. She was also marked as failing her hydration test. Heqin forfeits 50% of her purse.

Zebastian Kadestam, a former ONE welterweight (185-pounds) champion, also lost weight. He weighed in at 188.5 pounds when he faced Iuri Laspicus. As a penalty, Kadestam forfeits 30% of his purse.
