The vaccine was approved by an expert panel of the World Health Organization (WHO) within days of making an interim recommendation for its use, according to a Reuters report.
It said the panel had asked for two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine to be given at intervals of 8 to 12 weeks. They have suggested that the vaccine be used to control the spread of the deadly virus in all countries, including the type of coronavirus that has emerged in South Africa.
A review by the World Health Organization found that the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine had the necessary safety properties and efficacy for any vaccine.
These ticks are being praised for their relatively low prices and ease of distribution compared to Pfizer-Bioentech ticks. Last December, the WHO approved the emergency use of the Pfizer vaccine.
Meanwhile, World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary-General Tedros Adhanam Gabrieusus told a news briefing on Monday: “We have all the arrangements for speedy vaccine distribution now. But we still need to increase production. ”
He called on the vaccine manufacturers to submit the documents of the Covid-19 vaccine to the regulatory bodies of rich countries as well.
Within months of the new coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China, in late 2019, it had spread around the world. The disease, which has become a global epidemic, has already infected more than 106 million people and killed more than 2.4 million.

Bangladesh has already bought 30 million doses of Oxford Ticker from the Seram Institute of India. His first installment of 5 million doses of vaccine arrived in the country last month. In addition, another 2 million doses were received as a gift from the Government of India. With these vaccines, mass vaccination has started across the country on February 8.
Apart from this, Bangladesh is also expected to receive more than 60 million doses of vaccine from Covax. The global platform for coronavirus vaccines in low- and middle-income countries around the world is also collecting more Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines. They have taken the initiative to supply more than 33 crore doses of vaccine in 145 countries, which is expected to start by the end of this month.
